8 x 8" Acrylic Collage
This is a painting I worked on during the time that Hurricane Irene was coming over my little island of Green Turtle Cay, Abaco Bahamas. The power was out and I was running on my generator. I was very fortunate to have three of my friends staying with me during the storm. After the storm power was off for 9 days so it was a constant battle to keep the generator fueled and find fuel on the island. Everyone pitched in and helped with the storm cleanup and there is already a blush of new growth on the trees which lost all their folige from the winds. I lost 3 trees but a kind neighbor came by with his chainsaw, cut them up and hauled them away. Kindnesses like this are the reason I choose to live here.
These are 3 8"x 8" acrylic and collage paintings featuring the female figure in an impressionistic form. Next series I am currently working on is collages of wine labels and glasses.
Its been a busy Christmas season here on Green Turtle Cay. On New Years day each year the island puts on a Junkanoo parade that everyone turns out to watch or participate in (all 450 plus tourists). The colors and costumes are unbelievable and always inspire me to paint. This is an acrylic collage of one of the parade participants. 
These are a series of studies of the water from the beaches of Green Turtle Cay. Colors of the water are so unbelievable! 
This is a pair of 6" x 9" acrylic and collage paintings done on paper. Had lots of fun with the bright colors.....not my usual subdued colors!
