SEA LIFE

I just spent 2 months in Santa Fe, New Mexico painting local scenery and enjoying all the galleries.  I was also lucky enough to be there for the "Art Expo" and was able to take 3 mini-workshops with Bob Burridge.  Artisans Art Supply also had life drawing sessions with some great models that I was able to take advantage of one day a week.  Got to tour Georgia O'Keeffe's home with my daughter which was quite a treat.  Best vacation ever!  Now I am back home in the Bahamas and painting  local scenery here.  The paintings above are all 6 x 6 and the top is a collage.  All the work I did in Santa Fe is in the gallery in Houston.  Now getting into the Christmas season and enjoying being with friends here.

Been a while since I posted but I have been painting!  Spent a month in April in Houston with a wonderful side trip with my daughter to Wenmohs Ranch in the hill country of Texas.  Spent the week there exploring the area, painting and photographing.  Now back on Green Turtle Cay working on a verrrry large commission painting of a Bahamian beach scene.

On Ocean Beach

BUTTONWOOD TREES

The weather on the island has been so beautiful ........upper 70's, light wind and sunshine so I have been able to get out to the beach and do a little plein air painting.  Hoping to get in a few more days of it as there are several areas along the beach with these trees.  They have so much character .

JUNKANOO PRINCESS
Just finished this 18 x 24 painting of a young girl in the Junkanoo  parade this year.  Its always so colorful and lots of fun to watch and admire all the creative costumes the participants make and wear.

These are the paintings completed in the workshop we just had on Green Turtle Cay with Walt Bartman from Maryland.  Had to fight rain, wind and chilly temps but had a great time.  He will be back next year for more.  Had a great model in Renee who is restaurant manager at the Green Turtle Club.
